Rendang

Meat recipes from Indonesia.
Rendang is in though with coconut milk and spices Indonesian that produces a delicious taste. The meat is will fell soft and light on in the tongue. With long cooking process. So the meat will be more durable in the store.

Ingredients :

  • 1 kg lean beef, cut to fiber
  • 12 cups coconut milk
  • 2 turmeric leaves
  • 3 stalks lemon grass leaves, crushed
  • 5 pieces of lime leaves
  • 2 seeds kandis acid
  • salt, optional
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Spices :
  • 100 grams of red long pepper
  • 10 pieces of cayenne pepper
  • 12 grains of red onion
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 3 cm galangal
  • 4 cm ginger
  • 2 tablespoons cumin, toasted
  • 5 pieces of deaf
  • 1 nutmeg

How to make :


Boil the coconut milk, stirring until boiling, stirring constantly.
Saute ground spices, turmeric leaf, lemon grass leaves, lime leaves, tamarind kandis, and cinnamon until fragrant.
